Frequently Asked Questions
All items in Age of Claritas are represented by item cards. Some may have a physrep counterpart, but this is not always the case. For example, if you find a new weapon, you will receive a new item card but use the same physrep. If you are given an item on a quest, please ensure that you receive a corresponding item card from a GM.
All of the information on the game's combat can be found on the Combat page.
Weapons and armor can be rented if you do not have your own. The specific pricing is available on the Junior Events and Senior Events pages.
For standard weekend events, players should bring food for all of their meals. If you want to bring food that requires refrigeration, you should bring a cooler. A campfire is often available to cook over, weather permitting.
If the weather forecast is severe, events may be rescheduled. If inclement weather strikes after an event has already begun, the game is adjusted to ensure safety. However, all players should come prepared for all kinds of weather.
A new player can make changes to their character during their first three events. Character choices and development could change smaller aspects of their character during gameplay. As Talents are updated, players are allowed to make changes associated with those game updates. If a player wishes to completely change their character after their first three events, the player could make an entirely new character. Players are not allowed to swap back and forth between different characters.
YES! We love when parents come to play with their kids at Age of Claritas events. Parents can either make their own characters to join their children on quests or volunteer as NPCs for the players to interact with and fight against. While parents cannot stay in the pavilions with their child, they can share a tent with them.
Yes! It is an option to volunteer as an NPC for events. Junior adventurers can volunteer at junior events, and senior adventurers can volunteer at junior events (with GM approval) and senior events. However, we generally encourage new players to jump right in as their own player character.
