Unconsciousness & Death

When a player drops to 0 HP, the player is knocked unconscious. Out of game, the player lies on the ground until they are revived or the encounter ends. If the player would be endangered by lying on the ground, they instead place their hand or weapon flat on top of their head and move to the side of the encounter. The player can be revived once per encounter by one of two methods: either by a Cleric Soothsayer or by an item (scroll, enchantment, etc.). If a player is not revived within three in-game days or their body is unrecoverable, the character dies. At this point, the character can only come back by sacrificing an XP or making a deal.

Stabilize:

After combat is over, players who are still conscious may Stabilize their unconscious teammates by taking 30 uninterrupted seconds to attend to them. The Stabilized players remain at 0 HP, and will fall unconscious again after taking any damage. A Stabilized player cannot be healed and remains Stabilized until they are knocked out again, affected by Born Anew, or return to town. While Stabilized, a player may not deal damage or use talents, and is considered Gimped (must limp on one leg).

Resurrection Methods:

  • Ability: Born Anew. Can only revive a player from unconsciousness.

  • Item: Can only bring back from unconsciousness. In most cases, this consumes the item.
  • XP: Can only revive from death. This method can only be used once per event.
